anyway back to turkey,

turkey is great. everyday got different sightseeings to see such as guys ( yum! ), scenery and historical places.

Departed from singapore's changi airport at 11pm. nothing much exciting in the airport except my sister who is very smart had forgotten where the tour group were suppose to meet. wee hee. So as usual, our ego will never ever raised that white underwear from our luggages. So, we went around to spot anyone, who is anyone with Chan Brother's tags on their luggages. However, our little mission of ours failed. Luckily, the white underwear insisted to triumph over our egos and we finally went to ask around. Thank god, met someone who was going on a tour with Chan Brothers but to Japan instead of Turkey and showed us the counter where we were suppose to meet. God bless you three!

In the plane, met three Turkish - 2 females and a male - one of the girls were studying in Singapore as a student exchange. Oh my, they are so friendly! Reminds me of the grannies (the one who talks a lot in the tram) at I met in Melbourne but in a good way. They were telling us ( my sister and I) where to go, what to eat, what to buy in Turkey and lots of handy hints. For example, one of their exclusive dish is Iskander Kebab - my golly, it really tastes so good and now, i feel that my saliva is starting to accumulating in my mouthh.... and my stomach had started to growl. Shhh, you stomach! Anyway, if i could find a nice person to lend me a Canon device, I will post the pictures ok! Believe me, the drool is worth it! HAHAHA! She was telling us if we forgot the famous dish, then we should tell the taxi driver, "Bring me to a restuarant where sells 'Alexander.'" It is because Alexander rhymes with Iskander you see!

Well, they are not the Turks that I had portrayed in them. As Turkey is a Muslim country, I thought that Turkey would be a conservative country like neighbouring countries, Saudi Arabia, Iraq or something like that. But no, the women there did not wear like 90% coverage except their eyes. Most of the youngsters wears what we, youngsters wear in every inch of world ( oh maybe, with the exception of Africa ). For the men, they do not wear long dress and usually, we thought that the men in Middle East has a long beard, dark hair and dark brown eyes. However, there are men who look like Caucasian. ( Yeah, like whaatt?) Thats my first thought when I saw the local tour guide. His name is Fatih ( pronounce as Fatiq which means Conqueror in Turkish) and he is single, ladies. HAHA. Dirty blonde hair, light blue eyes and a bit tan. Like Caucasian, kan? No wonder, Warni and Hafizah told me that Turkey got so many hot guys! HAHA! Too bad, I didn't bring home one Turkish boy for my friends to drool on! I bet it will be a great souvenir (And I will take a good care of him and shoo any girls with my broomstick) !

Stopover at Dubai for transit for 45 minutes. Nothing special about the Dubai airport except the workers in the airport are so super unfriendly and the airport was a mess for first time travellers. One good thing about Dubai or its airport is branded goods. The cosmetics are cheaper by few dollars even compared with the world cheapest airport, Singapore's Changi. Moreover, I wanted to buy a super cool sunglasses from Dior which cost USD$250 ( B$375 ) without bargaining. So cheap right? However, cash is limited - thanks to you, USD! Ended up did not buy the sunglasses. The downside of shopping in Dubai Airport is the limited amount of clothes to women. There are mostly handbags for the women but it is so last season. Most of the clothes are catered to men like Ralph Lauren, Burberry and Paul Smith. Esshh, so sexist for what?

However, the reason behind it is not a sexist population but a traditional mentality. "Males are the head of everything" is their unspoken rule, i assumed. For example, eventhough I had queued up to go back to the airplane, no man let me walk in first. Eventually, I had to go to all the way back of the line to queue up. Well, this is considered to be normal in Dubai so Hooray for Dubai, EEE!!!!

okla, will continue next time.
sooner or later, i am going to be brain-dead. wee hee.

warning : high probablity on turkiye. if you found yourself dozing off in the end of the post, sorry la but just visit my page when you encounter an insomia, ok! <3
