- 300 minutes egg click for the recipe
honestly, i am bit sick of omelets, scrambled eggs, poached eggs etc. god knows how many eggs i eat per day so it is nice to have something different than the usuals.
this is one of the simplest and yummyiest eggs i had ever eaten. the 300 minutes egg is a traditional north african dish which is basically roasting the eggs for 5 hours.
I did this twice and twice, I love it!
It is similar to the Chinese's tea eggs in terms of its appearence such as the whites had turned slightly brown and its yolk, a bit greyish. What I love it about this is it is super tasty and simple. And i love how the egg yolk is more compact than the hard boiled eggs and the whites has a slight nutty taste. yummmm.
- gordon ramsey's steak
i tried to follow so-and-so's recipe but i always failed. you know like masterchef, donna hay etc.
i was skeptical after watching the video as it was grilled in within one minute for both sides.
And it looks pink, not the bloody red that i looked for in my steaks.
honestly, it is delicious and quick and i agree with mr. ramsey and absolutely thinks that the butter brought the steak to the next level. alright, i know i am a health freak who use olive oil and condemns butter but it is like a perfect marriage between both of them.
- chawanmushi
theres a lot of recipes in the internet in regards to the chawanmushi but the recipe that i choose to follow is this youtube channel : cooking with the dog. lol. of course, there will be someone to do all the cooking and the dog whose name is francis. He is the narrator of the show. i wonder what the japanese did to the dog but francis was sooo well-behaved. lol. and if you looked into the channel's uploads, theres oyakodon, japanese curry and its really easy to follow.
i did this twice and according to francis, the cooking dog, it takes ten minutes to cook the chawanmushi. However, i have no idea why but it took half an hour to cook the chawanmushi. Maybe it was the fire, maybe it wasnt too hot, maybe it was the surface area. Hmmmmmm.
My first attempt at making chawanmushi was an ok. The heat was too high and it causes the surface of the chawanmushi to have a rough surface and it just looks ugly. Beneath it, it was the smooth chawanmushi that i am looking for. I made two bowls for dinner, just in case if i screwed one up. And yeap, I finished both of them.
